Pneumatic motor - Wikipedia
A pneumatic motor (air motor), or compressed-air engine, is a type of motor which does mechanical work by expanding compressed air. Pneumatic motors generally convert the compressed-air energy to mechanical work through either linear or rotary motion.
Air motors work eficiently in either direction. They are easi-ly reversed using a directional valve. Air motors can work in any posi-tion. The motors and the required air lines are easy to install. Air motors are virtually unaffected by heat, vibration, corro-sion or knocks and blows.

Basics of Air Motors: Pneumatically Controlled Rotation
Dec 31, 2024 · Air motors, also known as pneumatic motors, use compressed air to create rotational movement, which can be used for various purposes in place of electric motors. Compressed air of the required quantity (such as 4-6 bar, or roughly 60-90 psi, and sufficient flow rate) activates its internal mechanism to provide motor functionality.
