Jun 7, 2017 · Thirty-odd years ago I had a Two Barred Rabbitfish (Siganus virgatus). At the time I had a 90g and a 65G sharing the same sump. Ever so slowly all of the mushrooms in the 90 disappeared. First the Blue/Purple, then the Green Striped and finally the Hairy Greens. Couldn't figure it out, 'til it occurred to me that maybe something was eating them.

Apr 22, 2018 · As above, apparently similar to a bee sting. One of the few common things i havent been got by, handled plenty of rabbitfish and never had a problem with them. Have a magnificent who likes to eat out of my fingers and is always having a nose at whatever I do in the tank. I'm more worried about animals I can't see.

Aug 19, 2012 · Rabbitfish fish in general aren't aggressive fish from what I've seen. I have seen a foxface (in rabbitfish family) munch on sps so if you have or plan on having sps, its something to keep an eye on. Rabbitfish can also be good algae eaters.

Mar 30, 2017 · I added a Scribbled Rabbitfish to my 120gal reef that had an established One Spot Foxface and all went well. The rabbitfish joined in with the foxface, a Kole Tang and a Mimic Tang as they patrolled the rocks for any algae to eat.

Oct 13, 2019 · Hello all. I’ve skimmed this forum on blindness and not sure that I’ve picked up on the cause or the remedy. I have a rabbitfish that up until a couple of days ago was acting completely normal. But in the past two days it’s acting more like it can’t see. It hangs out in the corners and bottom on the tank and is very lethargic.
