Feb 1, 2025 · I use it primarily for my bolt rifle, and typically have it coupled with a scope that has low magnification capability, in this case it's generally one of my Nightforce NX8 2.5-20x50s. My bolt rifles, as is customary, don't have extended picatinny rails to mount additional appendages beyond the scope.

Mar 5, 2025 · Just FWIW, I have an Arken SH4J Gen II 6-24x50 on my Tikka Super Varmint range rifle shooting out to 500 yards ( our range limit ). Can concur on the eye box. I think the scope, for what I paid, has been very good, though.

I've noticed my eyes require better and more expensive scopes with better resolution to see well as I am getting older. I am having a new beanfield rifle built and need to choose a scope. We hunt big fields and the ranges can be pretty far. 900 is not unusual at all.
