Better Sights for New Mark IV? - Ruger Forum
Feb 15, 2025 · Ruger has a 'Mark Series' setup just like that, but when you read the description, it just talks about 22/45s, and that is not what I have. I have the Mark IV Target piostol, model 40183. Would the HiViz front sight be better with a V-notch rear sight? Because they do sell that pair in the accessories section, item # 84201. Any thoughts?
Mark I - III vs IV - Ruger Forum
Oct 27, 2024 · The Mark IV’s I’ve handled seemed just as nice and are easier to field strip. I don’t have issues with disassembly of mine, but some do. There have been issues reported with the Mark IV; however, they seem limited and Ruger stands behind all their products, even if you’re not the original purchaser. Standard issue Mark II. All Ruger parts.

Mk IV Reliability - Ruger Forum
Dec 2, 2024 · Hi TestEngineer. I have a Mark IV target with the Volquartsen trigger and hammer. Recently I had the experience of it failing to fire on a few occasions but with no pin mark on the rims of the cartridges I ejected by pulling the slide back. I just racked the slide back and it ejected, loaded and fired the next cartridge then as normal.

Jun 14, 2024 · Never say never here too on the Mark IV. I almost thought of getting a resurrection project going for appending a suppressor or using an older Mark series rimfire. After getting a threaded barrel, upgrades, suppressor plus the cost of the Mark it sure does seem that the Mark IV is the way to go for me. *The only question now.
Dry firing Mark IV | Page 2 - Ruger Forum
Nov 19, 2010 · I just went to Ruger's website and downloaded a manual for the Mark IV. Because it is a PDF file it will not allow me to copy and paste, but on page #14 it states. "The RUGER© MARK IV™ can be dry fired but a snap cap is strongly recommended for anything more than occasional dry fire practice". There you have it, straight from the horses mouth.

Feb 19, 2019 · I have a Ruger MK II 5.5" bull barrel with a TRS-25 for Bullseye competition. I also have a Ruger MK IV tactical with a Vortex Venom. The Venom is smaller and quicker to get on target. Accuracy seems the same, but the MK IV has a stock trigger whereas the MK II has a Volquartsen kit. From a bench rest, accuracy is close.

Mark IV Sight Options - Ruger Forum
Nov 22, 2017 · Just curious what everyone else is using on their Mark IV's. I have a Mark IV 22/45 bull barrel that came with the black target sights. Shot perfectly out of the box but decided to try a micro red dot. Bought an aimpoint, didn't like the sight acquisition of a micro so I returned it and bought the Williams firesight instead.
