Feb 9, 2019 · none. The E rating is primarily for the purpose of carrying heavier loads, as in 3/4 ton and heavier trucks. The SL or a P rated tire will carry more weight than your truck is rated for so from that perspective E rated tires are unnecessary on a Tacoma. But a side benefit of E rated tires are much tougher sidewalls.

Aug 15, 2024 · A "C" or "D" rated LT tire just costs more than an SL and doesn't offer any real advantage. I've used both E and SL tires on my Tacoma as well as many 1/2 ton trucks over the last 50 years. I've lost count of the number of flats I've had with SL tires and I've had 2 SL tires damaged to the point they couldn't be repaired.

Jun 23, 2021 · none. C rated tires typically are rated for LESS load capacity than standard load tires of the same size. But they are a LITTLE tougher constructed, especially in the sidewall. They aren't generally used on trucks meant to carry loads, but are a good choice for a tougher tire on a SUV like a Wrangler.

My Tacoma is a 23 Stock TRD Off Road that will see very little if any towing. The only weight I will be adding is one of the smaller front bumpers to mount a hidden winch. Considering Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Mickey Thompson Baja Boss Ats.

Aug 20, 2021 · Just got some Falken Wildpeak AT3W’s. P265/75/16, in SL load rating (standard Load). 4-ply. my previous tires were Cooper Discoverers in LT265/75/16, in 112/109R load rating, 6-ply. My question is this: what psi should I run the Falkens? Because I ran the coopers at 35psi, but they had thicker sidewalls.
