
The Scrimgeour Clan Association
The Scrimgeour Clan Association was formed in 1971. It meets annually, on the first Saturday in June, when besides holding the Annual General Meeting, a programme of interest is arranged for members, especially those coming from abroad.

Hugh Scrimgeour’s Lodging, St Andrews Now the Library of St. Leonard’s School, St- Andrews. Can be seen by visitors during term time between 10 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. Mary, Queen of Scots is said to have lodged here and Charles II certainly did, in 1650.
Tartan | The Scrimgeour Clan Association
The Scrimgeour Tartan. There are actually three tartans, however they are all based on the same design and are really only different colour tones. The design is known as “Scrimgeour of Glassary”. Also note that the Tartan is available in lighter and heavier weights, and that the lighter weight tartan has a smaller check size.

SCRIMGEOUR CLAN ASSOCIATION. The Gathering began in New Lanark, where the Clan toured the mill, school and houses built by Robert Owen, who wished to give his staff good working and living conditions in the late 18 th and early 19 th Century. The AGM took place in the River Room of the Visitor Centre.

The week of August 16 - 19 was a most memorable one for those of us of the Scrimgeour Clan Association who were fortunate to take part in the Scottish World Festival held here in Toronto.
