May 28, 2024 · I established this website as a celebration of John Sprinzel's Sebring Sprite Coupés, of which only about 6 examples were produced by his London tuning business, and which were raced and rallied by him and other enthusiasts, in the 1960's.

The Austin-Healey Sebring Sprite is a small sports car that was produced by the Donald Healey Motor Company at its Cape Works in Warwick and at the Healey's Speed Equipment Division in Grosvenor Street, London W1.

In the spring of 1960 John was entered for the 12 Hour endurance race at Sebring in an extensively modified Sprite fitted with a lightweight Falcon body (the Falcon Sprite). It was later entered for the Le Mans 24 Hours.

The car’s history, and originality, make it arguably the most important Sprite in existence. It is one of only two surviving cars from the Factory Team that swept the podium for the class at Sebring in 1959, and it is the only remaining car with the original parts from Sebring.

Sep 1, 2021 · This 1960 Austin-Healey is a right-hand drive Sprite Mark 1 and was modified between 2013-2018 in the style of a Williams & Pritchard–bodied Sebring Sprite Competition coupe.

The Austin-Healey Sebring Sprite was a modified version of the production Sprite and was recognized by the governing body of motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, as a separate model. They were homologated for competition on September 17th of 1960.

Originally a Downton team car, it competed from 1960 onwards using Sebring Sprite homologation. Throughout the 1962 season this car was fitted with a supercharger and carried a glass fibre Sebring bonnet.
