All university-branded apparel shall conform to the use of the SIU identity system shown in this manual. The samples show typical placements of the SIU signature/logomark/wordmark on various items. The SIU logomark can be used with the school/college/department staff shirts left sleeve lettering.

The Horizontal SIU Web Logo must be displayed at 330px wide by 57px tall, with 10px padding on all sides. There are only three options: two color (maroon and black) on a light background, all black or all white. 2 color SIU logo: Black SIU logo:

To clearly identify apparel with the university, include “SIU Carbondale” or “Southern Illinois University Carbondale” as well as the name of the college, department, center or auxiliary within the design.

Aug 24, 2023 · The SIU institutional identity may be displayed with other co-brands or external organizations. The SIU identity should be displayed first, followed by the co-brand identity / external identity. A vertical line can be used to separate the identities, but it is not required.

SIU Carbondale Identifiers (examples shown below) were developed to offer individualism and flexibility. Colleges, departments and units may use SIU Carbondale Identifiers to assist with communication goals. They may be used in place of the main SIUC logo on all forms of media with the exception of embroidery and classified advertising.
