Apr 27, 2024 · Skynet repurposes existing models as synthetic androids and rebrand Cyberdyne as Hyperdyne Systems. The repurposed androids were programmed as sleeper Agents. Skynet successfully hides the history of the terminators and many humans explore outer space. Eventually a sleeper agent named ash comes in contact with perfection on the Nostromo.

After launching an attack that triggers a nuclear war in what becomes known as Judgment Day, Skynet takes over the world and uses a wide range of machines to fight what is left of humanity.

Several other Terminator-related questions have led me to wonder about why Skynet instigated a nuclear war. Some have suggested that Skynet was inherently hostile towards humanity, and simply wanted all humans to die.
