Jun 6, 2012 · I just bought a 2011 Tacoma and I am trying to add upgrades. My first question is what nerf bars should I buy. I was torn between straight or the ones with the curved ends. Are the ones with the curved ends less stable. The straight ones seem to be able to withstand mor weight or seem to last longer. I will be back with more questions later.

Apr 4, 2024 · Tacoma extra cab long bed. I've been using the search function to help find the best bars for me. The information is overwhelming. At 240 lbs, and growing, the concern is sagging and/or creaking sounds when I step on them. I can handle the pricing on the factory bars, but don't want to unnecessarily overpay.

Jan 5, 2018 · I like the Nerf Bars (3") or sliders.. those 6" bars look granpa-ish to me. I don't like the step bars that many dealerships install... I have N-fab 3" bars... only because they were the only option at the time in late 2015 - They take a beating and I'm still happy I over-paid for em.

Mar 3, 2018 · I was trying to install a set of nerf bars for my 2001 Tacoma double cab prerunner when I found that the rear surface mount on the truck is at a slight angle and is not straight like the fronts. So the mounting bracket for the nerf bars are not straight in the rears so the nerf step bars will not sit flush on the bracket so I can screw them in.
