Jul 9, 2023 · Another good WCW game for PS1 is WCW vs the world. WCW vs the world uses the famous AKI engine to run the game. What this means is that it's easy to control and very fun to play. The AKI engine would get better with time and would get refined, starting with WCW vs nwo world tour for the Nintendo 64. WCW vs the world for the PS1, is pretty great.

Jul 28, 2020 · This is the only wcw sub so I thought I'd ask here since you guys have probably played it. The controls are pretty easy but I can't for the life of me figure out finishers and no where online actually tells you what button it is. The closest I've found is "finisher button" so if anyone knows for ps1 it would be a big help!

Oct 18, 2023 · Yeah this looks like shit, I hastily loaded up Mayhem on my RetroPie to check something and ended up getting side-tracked. I mostly use the Pi for 8/16-bit games and have hardly ever touched PS1, so this is the result of default settings + "Take Screenshot."

I remember watching the intro to Revenge on a TV in a games shop and was blow away. Desperately wanted an N64 just for that. I had high hopes for Mayhem, built off the buzz of Revenge, but it was a terrible, terrible game. WCW was done dirty on the Playstation.

Sep 3, 2023 · Nitro for PS1- I honestly can't remember how this played. Revenge for N64 - Big improvement over World Tour. Custom outfits was a plus but this only begged for full create-a-wrestler. Thunder for PS1 - Like Nitro, I don't remember how it played but I don't remember it being good. Mayhem for PS1 - I definitely remember this not being good.

This reminds me of a more advanced version of the old WCW Saturday Night intro. I used to LOVE this game. It doesn’t hold a candle to the WCW THQ/AKI games but the roster is one of the best ever which of course by the time I played it, almost half of them are gone by 2000.

Apr 10, 2019 · Now, if you said N64 it would be WCW/nWo Revenge, hands down. But on PS1, IDK. I haven't played Mayhem, but WCW vs. The World is all right. Like you said though, very bare-bones. It was AKI's first wrestling game. WWF, on the other hand, got the SmackDown games, which are pretty great. SmackDown 2 is the best wrestling game on the system, IMO.
