I have the Suze Orman do it yourself kit and was wondering if it is acceptable to the courts or are the do it yourself packets that you buy at the store? A trust is used to manage and ultimately distribute financial assets -- stocks, bonds, bank accounts, houses, etc. A will, on the other hand cannot MANAGE those assets, it can only distribute them. However, a trust does not have to be probated, and so is a private document.
