    May 11, 2007 · My previous bike was a ZX-9R E1 (year 2000 model) and coincidently once i tested top speed with a 1998 ZX-9R. Using GPS phone, the 98 model managed 280km/h and my 2000 model managed 295km/h. Not sure in mph but 300km/h = 186mph.

    Feb 28, 2014 · A de-restricted ZX-11 will kill the ZX-9 in a straight line, all the way up to top speed. The ZX-9 is a lot more nimble though, particularly the 1998+ models. The ZX12 I've not ridden so I cannot give an assessment. The ZX14 will beat the ZX11 (but not by as large a margin as you might think). The ZX14 has the technology the ZX11 lacks, however.
