Noob question/howto: Zoom G3Xn to Windows DAW via USB?
Mar 21, 2018 · - several guitars, active Ibanez bass; -> Zoom G3Xn FX pedal board; -> RC3 looper pedal; -> Blackstar practice amp. The latter three all have various outputs; all three have USB interfaces although not necessarily for direct recording (that I know of). Q: Is this for demos, songwriting, band rehearsal? - demo/songwriting, I guess. Nothing serious.

I know it was a while ago now , but I'm looking to try direct recording with my G3Xn and I'm a technology Dinosaur who's having trouble finding out information. Jun 22, 2019 · Also someone says the zoom's Vox simulation is better, and I love overdriven Fenders and Voxes. Also², Zoom has ZNR and my guitar has P90s. They sound awesome when not being hellish noisy rofl. (I also considered a Vox Pathfinder, but I love ambience and control/changing sounds.) Thanks for any help, peace!

Mar 8, 2020 · On the G3n/G3Xn/G5n, they are part of the presets and take fx slots). I would recommend trying out the G1X four first or (if you don't need an expression pedal) the even smaller G1 four. Both are handy little units that you can use quite flexible at home for practise.

Feb 26, 2017 · The official Zoom G3Xn and G5n pages include a table outlining the differences between them: The G3Xn is listed as not having "USB Audio", which to me would imply the unit cannot be used as a USB audio interface, except I've read online comments saying even the older G3 can be used as such.

Mar 8, 2018 · The reason why I didn't go with Zoom G5n and I got G3Xn is the size, I needed something smaller since I will be using on my pedalboard also the new Korg KR-55 PRo drum machine and with G5n it wouldn't fit. Feb 1, 2017 · If Zoom made an update that would convert 3 slots back into 1 slot like on G3/g5 or even have the unused slots (that are always on and unused) hidden in deep editing (Digitech RP360), this would be a pretty neat little piece of gear. The foot switches would make sense as well (since they were originally built by a forum member for G3).

Feb 8, 2017 · Sorry to be so late and with a newbie question, but I see a lot of people refer to this "global menu" on the zoom g3xn where you can adjust output settings to better suit the pedals position i.e. in front of amp, in the effects loop, etc. And people have said that the factory "direct" setting should be changed for the best results in certain cases.
