May 7, 2014 · Wells, Sump Pumps and Septic Sewage Systems - Sand point well kit - I am really sick of watering my lawn with the city's water. It's expensive and has so much chlorine in it that I think it may actually hurt the lawn. I want to put in a sand point well but I have no idea what kind or size of pump/pressure tank to buy.

Nov 7, 2007 · The drive point/sand point is connected to 5’ sections of galvanized well pipe and driven into the ground using a manual post driver. There is a good possibility your points have either corroded, closing off the steel mesh of the point, or fine sand/silt has clogged the sand/area around the outside of the point.

This then leads into the 1/2 HP SJC 312 series jet pump. I have five feet of standing water in the pipe.
